Pour leur installation vidéo et sculpturale, la Fondation Giacometti a permis aux artistes de filmer l'oeuvre Tête de Femme (Flora Mayo). Ce livre richement illustré contextualise les installations Flora et Bust et révèle une période particulière de la vie de Giacometti à travers une sélection de sculptures et de dessins inédits des années 1920.

Teresa Hubbard / Alexander Birchler are among the most important contemporary artists working with film and new media. Hubbard / Birchler reframe, from a feminist perspective, the history of an unknown American artist, Flora Mayo, who was Alberto Giacometti's lover during the 1920s. As part of Hubbard / Birchler's film and sculpture installation, the Fondation Giacometti, Paris, granted the artists unprecedented access to film Giacometti's Head of a Woman (Flora Mayo). This richly illustrated book contextualizes the installations Flora and Bust, and reveals a particular period in Giacometti's life through a selection of his previously unseen sculptures and drawings from the 1920s.
